Dolenjske Toplice is one of the oldest Slovene health resorts. Its thermal baths' (36^oC) healing properties have attracted people since mediaeval times. The earliest written sources about the place date back to 1224.

Today, the resort's facilities can cater for a most exclusive clientele. You can choose from completely renovated hotels, the Vital (****, 174 beds) and the Kristal (****, 93 beds), enclosing a wonderful park with magnificent ancient trees and a fountain in the middle. All the rooms are furnished with a TV set and satellite programmes, an alarm clock radio, a hairdryer, a laundry dryer and a direct telephone.

The two buildings are joined with an underground passage by means of which the indoor pools have become accessible from the hotel rooms. On the way there or back are two pleasant stops, the Rozek bar and a tiny hotel shop.

The three hotel indoor pools are filled with thermal water (36oC). Other facilities and services include medical service, a gym, a fitness studio, sauna, beauty parlour, cosy club premises and an aperitif bar.
